Taking a class and your brain feels like it will explode? These might help.
There is nothing worse than the overwhelm that comes from taking a class and not being able to keep track of everything you are doing (and learning). I am taking b-school right now and I am having trouble keeping track with the things I wanna do as a result of the work I am doing. I am great about taking notes but a lot of the times, I can’t find what I need in my notebook. Here are some resources I found (and use to help me) take care of this problem.
The Read Good Guide: I created this is a worksheet to use when I read blog posts and want to take action after I read them! A great way to organize notes from your lessons too.
Workflowy: A wikepedia of your brain and a great way to organize all your ideas in 1 place — I am using this to outline my novel
Thoughtboxes: Classes often leave us inspired to take big action but we don’t know where to put all of our ideas. Thoughtboxes is awesome for organizing everything into little plies for later. One of my favorite digital apps.
Trello: A GREAT way to track your action steps with a clear, easy to use interface — so tactile — you literally drag and drop!
Paprika: This is a unique app that lets you type all your notes on one “sheet” of paper – you can then create to-dos within the page – great if you like all your stuff on one page and want to see it all.
Teuxtduex – One of my favorite simple to-do apps. A great way to track your daily to-dos and they have a n area close to the bottom that is just for ideas you aren’t ready to implement yet.
Diary.com: This site is like a private pinterest board. I use mine to post questions, pictures and marketing inspiration that I want to keep track of for later. I have one for each b-school module.
Evernote: The SUPER notetaking tool. I find evernote the most useful when I am using the mobile app to keep track of my voice notes
Springpad: Another notetaking tool!
Do you have any methods for keeping track of what you are learning? Any additional fun web things I didn’t mention? Let me know. I want to start a pinterest for all of these.
